The Central Valley’s Greatest Loser is a local 12 week Weight Loss Competition put on annually by Get a Better Body Fitness owners, Lamont and Angela Nash. This year, is their 3rd Annual competition. Their event has brought together hundreds of residents of Fresno County in years past who not only want to shed a few pounds but also lead healthier lifestyles. The event is more than just a annual weight loss challenge, it’s a movement towards living healthy. Everyday, Lamont Nash along with their team of Certified Fitness Instructors, are changing lives. They are changing poor eating habits, motivating and inspiring their clients to exercise and start a path to a healthier body and lifestyle.

Hugo and Roxanne of JavaFundraiser were invited by Lamont and Angela Nash to serve JavaFit’s Diet and Energy coffees on a Saturday morning before workouts. Central Valley’s Greatest Loser organized a special event for this Saturday, a Clothing Exchange among their contestants. Several contestants donated clothing which no longer fit them in exchange for smaller sizes. Spending money on a new wardrobe while still on your weight loss journey can get costly, so Angela Nash put on this event to help their contestants.

Theresa Lennon and Amber Bolinger of Fresno have committed to healthier living in 2010. They have both worked hard long before the competition even began! Both ladies are working out twice a day and on the weekends with Lamont. These incredible ladies have lost over 50 pounds each! They are a true inspiration to many!

Lamont and Angela Nash have amazing plans to continue their incredible work in helping people in our community achieve healthier lifestyles. They plan on opening a very unique, Non-Profit Fitness and Education facility which will benefit all ages and all abilities. Their passion and their hard work to improve the lives of Fresno County residents will prove to have a tremendous impact on our community. Hugo and Roxanne look forward in helping their new facility come to fruition with JavaFundraiser.

John Roberts and Craig Garcia at the Reality Changers Fund Raiser in San Diego. Reality Changers is dedicated to helping teenagers keep their dreams alive by providing scholarships to students.

After Working with gang members for five years, Reality Changers Founder Christopher Yanov felt that it was just not right that most inner-city teenagers today know more people who have been shot or killed in the street than people who are on the road to college! Starting with only $300, Reality Changers has given more scholarship awards to college bound students than any other single organization in San Diego!

Team Leader John Roberts with team members Bianka Bowers and Dave Lyons serving Coffee to over 300 attendies for the Reality Changers Fund raiser on June 19, 2010 atop a parking structure rooftop in Sand Diego, Ca.  Reality Changers has ongoing programs to help prepare students for college. Here is the entire crew pictured to the right here… They put on a great demonstration and what a tribute to their work. I wish you could have seen them perform live as they were incredible. What athletes they are….

The annual Vista Village Strawberry Festival & Street Fair draws thousands of visitors each year to this fantastic event.  Last year, it featured more than 140 vendors including: arts & crafts, jewelry, clothing, business services, a food court and the main attraction-strawberries. It was a very beautiful day in Vista, CA on Sunday, May 30th, 2010. We were invited to serve coffee early in the morning before 7AM. The city of Vista was having their annual 5K Walk/Run and kids’ races. We had people lined up to get a hot cup of coffee before their run. Java Fit Energy Extreme seemed to be the most popular. The runners wanted the extra energy to start off the race.

We had a great time at Vista’s Strawberry Festival! Once the race started, we walked around and checked out the festival. There was alot of people walking the streets and having fun. This was a great day to bring the family and enjoy the fun in the sun.

This was a first class fundraising event put on by the St Peters Chaldean Church of El Cajon. Complete with food, wine, coffee and desserts, the guests were completely satisfied! Pictured above is the functional ice sculpture, which wine was poured through the ice sculpture, chilling your glass of wine as it made its way down the center of the ice sculpture into your glass, which you had to hold still at the bottom of the ice sculpture! It was fun for the guests and it actually worked to chill the wine! What a fund event that raised a lot of money for the Chaldean church of El Cajon.

In the background, you can see many raffle prizes, gift baskets and more! Java Fundraiser donated the coffee and a raffle prize to help with this great fundraiser!

Here is John Roberts, before the event started, just as we got setup, the people started pouring in… This place was packed! They raised a lot of money and everyone had a great time!

Pictured here are David Bone and and John Roberts doing all they can to keep up with the demand for our wonderful tasting Java Fit Coffee. As you can see, John Roberts is explaining the different functions of coffee and David Bone is doing all he can to keep the supply of coffee flowing! Great job team. This was a great event and we help raise funds for the St Peters Chaldean Church of El Cajon! On May 21, 2002, St Peter’s Chaldean Church of El Cajon, California became the seat of the second Chaldean diocese in the United States. It is now called St. Peter’s Cathedral.

The news was there… Ruben Galvan from Fox SD channel 6 pictured here with John Roberts and Dave Bone!

Brook Landau was also there with Ruben to report on this spectacular event!

As you can see, there were thousands of people here running/walking for a cure! We are very proud to be part of such a great aevent. For me, Cancer has been in our family for generations as I have never met my Grandmother on my mom’s side of the family and I lost my mother to breast cancer in 1980 when i was just a boy of 10 years old.

Craig Garcia and Veronica Mendez-Spencer at another Make a Wish Fundraiser to help raise funds and awareness for Make a Wish Foundation.  We had a blast with the Rainbow Girls at Sun Angels Salon & Spa in Fresno, California. Sun Angels’ hair stylists, with stations set up in the parking lot, offered $5 haircuts all day and donated the proceeds to the Rainbow Girls. We, of course, were there to treat everyone to cup of JavaFit coffee! And raise additional funds for them!

International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a youth club which builds a foundation for life for young women by: Promoting Leadership, Encouraging Service, Building Character, and Developing Friendships….all while having Fun!

Service is the foundation of Rainbow. They emphasize the importance of providing unselfish acts of service to our home and community. Each year, the Rainbow Girls choose a non-profit charitable organization for their Grand Service Project. This year, Bay Area Crisis Nursery received over $70,000 from the Rainbow Girls! They achieved this by selling candy, serving dinners, car washes, bake sales, rock or swim-a-thons – you name it!  In the past ten years, California Rainbow Girls have earned and donated to non-profit charitable organizations more than $950,000!

It gives us and JavaFundraiser great pleasure in working together with the Rainbow Girls to raise money to continue their incredible work! This organization believes that through helping others, we truly help ourselves. They guide young women toward becoming responsible, caring adults. These amazing young ladies also go on to become successful leaders in all fields. Some former Rainbow girls you might recognize are Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, comedians Ruth Buzzi and Lily Tomlin, actress Lee Meriweather, and former Miss Americas Jane Jaroe and Chantelle Smith.

We look forward to contributing more to their wonderful cause and organization with JavaFundraiser. The amazing Jane Goodall said it best, “Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.”

Thank you, Rainbow Girls, for making the difference in the lives of our young people. Keep up the incredible work!
